On January 15th, members of CFUW Stratford’s Advocacy Committee met with Perth-Wellington MPP Randy Pettapiece for a conversation about the priorities and actions of the provincial government.

In a wide-ranging discussion, we raised concerns about the environment, poverty reduction, public transportation, violence against women, sexual health education, implementing the Truth and Reconciliation calls to action regarding education, democratic process, and the implications of the “Open for Business” Bill 66.

We left Mr. Pettapiece with some questions that you can see here. And we also shared a letter from CFUW Ontario Council about the closing of the Office of the Child Advocate. We look forward to more information about current changes the government is implementing and to ongoing discussion.
