Meet the Women Candidates for the Municipal Election
CFUW’s support and promotion of women’s leadership is rooted in our history. Founded in 1919, CFUW existed before women were considered persons under Canadian law, and at a time when women were excluded and marginalized from business, politics, leadership, and many other areas of public life. While things have changed significantly, women are still under-represented in many leadership positions.
Political leadership needs to truly reflect our population, and it is now more critical than ever to support our women candidates in these challenging times. We look forward to seeing you at the panel – please bring your questions for the candidates!
