Garvia Bailey

Garvia Bailey’s career spans over two decades as a producer, broadcaster, and columnist for the CBC, JazzFM and as a freelance journalist. She can often be heard guest hosting Q with Tom Power, the CBC’s national arts and culture program.  She is co-creator of Storytelling with a Focus on Podcasting for Carleton University’s School of Journalism and a co-founder of the award winning production company, Media Girlfriends. She is a community curator with The Stratford Perth Museum, focusing on bringing Black stories and histories to light.  Garvia was a 2023 William Southam Journalism Fellow at Massey College and currently hosts Happy Enough, a podcast from The Globe and Mail. She currently splits her time between her hometown of Stratford and Toronto.
