At February’s General Meeting, we had the pleasure of hearing from Linda Willis and Carol Hamilton, co-founders of the Stratford-based charity for women and girls in developing nations, Change Her World.
We learned how they felt compelled to improve the lives of the women they met in Malawi on a trip in 2006. The best course, they determined, was through access to education and better healthcare.
Change Her World has been diligently paving the way for a brighter future by building, renovating and equipping schools and hostels, drilling community wells, ensuring girls have underwear and hygiene supplies, and providing medical kits for safer childbirth — all so that women in Malawi will have better health, better school attendance and ultimately better lives.
