Dr. Kim Anderson
Kim Anderson is a Metis writer and Professor in the Department of Family Relations and Applied Nutrition at the University of Guelph where she holds a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Indigenous Relationality and Storied Practice. Most of her research and writing has to do with Indigenous women, Indigenous identity, and Indigenous well-being. Kim has published seven books, including A Recognition of Being: Reconstructing Native Womanhood (Canadian Scholars’ Press, 2016); Life Stages and Native Women: Memory, Teachings and Story Medicine (University of Manitoba Press, 2011) and the co-produced memoire of the late Rene Meshake, entitled Injichaag: My Soul in Story (University of Manitoba Press, 2019).
