Public Transportation is vital for Stratford. The Southwestern Ontario Travel Alliance hosted a Public Forum on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at the Kiwanis Community Centre, Stratford.
Transportation Analyst and Advisor Greg Gormick presented NETWORK SOUTHWEST, an affordable plan to provide convenient and integrated public transportation to SW Ontario.
As our city grows, as young people reject the culture of the car for environmental and economic reasons, as the boomers age…
We never imagined our city without an early morning train for business and for students.
We never imagined our citizens without a way to reach specialized medical services using affordable and timely public transportation.
We never imagined tourists being unable to access our city as a destination at convenient times.
We never imagined Stratford families being unable to connect and help each other using public transportation.
We never imagined gridlock as a way of life for travel to and from Toronto.
We never imagined being without any public transportation to travel to many other destinations in SW Ontario.
It is important to show that public transportation is important to our City. We need workable and affordable solutions.
