Members of the Cast of The Twelfth Night

The Canadian Federation of University Women held an Elizabethan themed dinner theatre night on Saturday April 5th at 6:30 p.m at the Queen’s Inn, Stratford with about 75 people in attendance.  Tickets for the evening were $40 each including a 4-course Elizabethan dinner and entertainment provided by a cast of 12 players and 2 musicians from St. Michael’s Secondary School Drama Program, under the direction of Tina Robinson.   This year, the audience was entertained by an adaptation of Twelfth Night, set in Illyria. The action moved through “The Perfect Storm”, “Fools Rush In”, “Love Looks Not with the Eyes”, “The Trick”, “Mistaken Identity” and “Resolution”. Proceeds from the evening support the CFUW-Stratford Scholarship Fund. A very important aspect of CFUW is its commitment to women’s education. CFUW-Stratford provides awards to deserving female students at each of our three local high schools – Stratford Central, Stratford Northwestern and St. Michael Catholic Secondary Schools, as well as to two local colleges (Conestoga and Fanshawe) and to our local Alternative Secondary Schools. CFUW-Stratford presents 16 awards annually, totaling $5,800.
