Calling All Warm-hearted Winter Walkers!
In support of Stratford/Perth Shelterlink, CFUW members, friends, and partners will be walking together on Saturday February 22nd starting at 5pm at Knox Church (corner of Waterloo & Ontario streets).
Stratford/Perth Shelterlink serves youth between the ages of 16 and 24 who are either homeless or are at-risk of becoming homeless.
They are provided with access to food, clothing, shelter, health care, counselling, addictions services, assistance with school, life skills, education, employment and housing.
The shelter program houses 150 youth per year in Perth County and staff are in contact with about 3,000 youth and adults throughout the year who find themselves homeless at any given time.
This will be the second year that CFUW Stratford has organized a team to walk and fundraise for the Coldest Night of The Year. Join us to walk around the Avon River for a good cause! There will be hot food and warm drinks upon our return to Knox Church.
